Job summary

LexisNexis seeks an experienced Consulting AWS Cloud Network Infrastructure Engineer. You will define best practices, establish cloud vision, mentor teams, and collaborate across stakeholders to ensure robust, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud networking.

Responsibilities include designing AWS network solutions, managing VPCs and Transit Gateways, implementing security controls, automating with Terraform and CloudFormation, and monitoring performance to ensure reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5+ years AWS cloud engineering and architecture
• Strong understanding of AWS network infrastructure and service integration including VPC, Transit Gateway, and CloudFormation
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and automation scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Proficiency with monitoring/logging tools (DataDog, Splunk, Coralogix, CloudWatch)
• Strong networking and security knowledge (DNS, VPC, NAT, Security Groups, IAM)
• Experience with IaC and automation tooling for deployment and management

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure network infrastructure in AWS
• Manage and optimize AWS networking services (VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, CloudWAN, Transit Gateway)
• Implement and maintain network security best practices (firewalls, VPNs, security groups)
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues for reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and deployment
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation and diagrams
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs and implement cost-saving measures
• Ensure cloud network solutions comply with LexisNexis standards
• Lead incident response for network-related issues and outages
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers
• Stay updated with latest cloud networking tech and propose improvements
