Job summary

N-iX is seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Infrastructure & .NET Application Engineer to support a European CMS platform. You will manage AWS infrastructure, upgrade production servers, and migrate legacy apps while strengthening security and code quality in the CMS app. You will own end-to-end changes and verify across workflows.

The role requires strong experience in AWS, Windows, .NET, and security remediation, with a proactive, owner mindset and good English communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on infrastructure and application engineering experience in AWS and Windows environments.
• Strong experience managing AWS infrastructure through IaC, preferably Terraform, with Git-based workflows.
• Strong Windows Server administration skills (IIS, Windows services, permissions, certificates).
• Hands-on experience with .NET Framework and SQL Server in production, including VB/VB6 apps and web services.
• Experience resolving security and code quality issues using SonarQube, including data masking/tokenization.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills; knowledge of PCI requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage AWS resources (EC2, IAM, security groups, load balancers) and maintain via IaC.
• Own patching, security remediation, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
• Assess and document 14 production Windows servers including dependencies and configurations.
• Migrate legacy VB/VB6 apps, IIS-hosted apps, web services, WCF services, and batch processes.
• Prepare migration plans, perform functional validation, production cutovers, and handovers.
• Remediate SonarQube findings and enhance data masking/tokenization security.
• Make targeted application changes with clean code and proper testing; document outcomes.
