Job summary

N-iX is seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Infrastructure & .NET Application Engineer to support a European CMS platform. You will manage AWS infrastructure upgrades, migrate legacy VB/VB6 and IIS apps, and strengthen code quality and security with SonarQube.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership across infrastructure and application changes in a live production environment. You will collaborate with client engineers, security and operations teams to validate changes, document outcomes, and ensure

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and application engineering, ideally supporting production systems across AWS and Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage AWS resources (EC2, IAM, security groups, load balancers, target groups, certificates) and maintain them through Infrastructure as Code.
• Own patching, security remediation, monitoring, and production troubleshooting to improve reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.
• Assess production Windows servers and document dependencies, configurations, service accounts, connectivity, and scheduled jobs.
• Install, configure, and migrate legacy VB/VB6 apps, IIS-hosted apps, web services, WCF services, and Control-M batch processes to replacement servers.
• Prepare and execute migration plans, functional validation, production cutovers, rollback procedures, and handovers.
• Resolve security and code quality findings from SonarQube; implement masking/tokenization and secure data handling.
• Make targeted app/config changes with clean code and testing; document outcomes and risks.
• Collaborate with client engineers and security/operations to align on scope and knowledge transfer.
