N-iX is seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Infrastructure & .NET Application Engineer to support a major CMS platform for a leading European online car marketplace. The role covers AWS infrastructure modernization, Windows migrations, and security/code-quality improvements in SonarQube, with end-to-end ownership across infra, migrations, and app changes.

You will work on upgrading 14 production servers, migrating VB6 and IIS/WEB services, and implementing automated safety measures while collaborating

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on infrastructure and application engineering experience.
• Production experience managing AWS infrastructure via IaC (preferably Terraform).
• Strong Windows Server administration and migration experience across Windows Server versions.
• Hands-on .NET Framework and SQL Server in production, including VB/VB6 applications, web services, and WCF services.

Responsabilités

• Provision and manage AWS resources via IaC; review changes and resolve configuration drift.
• Own patching, security remediation, monitoring, and production troubleshooting to improve reliability and security.
• Assess servers and document dependencies, configurations, and scheduled jobs.
• Migrate legacy VB/VB6 applications and IIS-hosted apps to replacement servers, resolving issues across infra and app layers.
• Prepare migration plans, functional validation, cutovers, rollbacks, and handovers.
• Remediate security findings from SonarQube; implement masking/tokenization to protect data.
• Make targeted app/config changes with clean code and proper testing; document outcomes and risks.
• Collaborate with client engineers, security, and operations for scope alignment and knowledge transfer.
