Job summary

Nix is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design and deliver a secure file transfer platform for a critical external financial services partner. The role focuses on private connectivity, AWS isolation, and seamless integration with S3 and internal systems.

You will architect, implement, test, migrate, document, and provide production support across networking, security, and platform teams. The position requires hands-on work with BGP routing, VPNs, IAM, KMS, and infrastructure as

Qualifications

• Extensive AWS infrastructure and networking experience.
• Strong knowledge of VPCs, Transit Gateway, IPsec VPNs, BGP, and routing.
• Experience with Amazon S3, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, and VPC endpoints.
• Experience with managed file transfer platforms and external partner integrations.
• Strong network, Linux, and application troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with security controls, monitoring, recovery testing, and incident response.
• Strong technical writing and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement BGP routing over redundant IPsec VPN tunnels.
• Design isolated AWS environments with VPCs, Transit Gateway, and controlled routing.
• Implement a secure managed file transfer solution based on partner protocol requirements.
• Integrate file transfer services with Amazon S3 and internal systems.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure through infrastructure as code.
• Implement access controls, encryption, secrets management, logging, and monitoring.
• Define file validation, recovery, reconciliation, and failure-handling processes.
• Plan and complete migration with parallel testing and rollback procedures.
• Produce architecture diagrams, network plans, implementation documents, and operational runbooks.
• Coordinate delivery with partner, security, network, application, and platform teams.
