Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AWS / Terraform / EKS) to join the Infrastructure & Cloud Team supporting federal DHS CISA programs. You will design, build, and operate secure, repeatable AWS environments under FedRAMP and ATO governance.

You will own infrastructure deployments end-to-end, collaborate with Security and Application teams, and drive automation and compliance across GovCloud and commercial accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant experience.
• 6+ years designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining AWS Cloud infrastructure.
• 5+ years Terraform experience with modules and state management.
• 5+ years Kubernetes networking, ingress, CoreDNS, and EKS connectivity.
• Security/compliance experience (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53) and ATO documentation.
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash; templating with YAML/JSON; Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support enterprise load balancing and ingress patterns (F5/DNS/TLS).
• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform.
• Provision and manage EKS clusters, namespaces, and Helm add-ons.
• Configure AWS VPC networking, routing, and security groups.
• Automate deployments with GitHub Actions and cross-account IAM roles.
• Ensure least-privilege IAM and assist RMF/ATO documentation.
• Collaborate with Security and DevOps teams to maintain compliant, auditable infra.
• Provide one-to-one mentoring and contribute to SOPs and playbooks.
