Job Juncture is seeking an experienced DevOps/Cloud Engineer to independently design, implement, and test SDLC tooling and cloud infrastructure at a complex scale. You will support onboarding and migration of applications, analyze customer needs, and lead cross-functional efforts to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux, GitLab, AWS, Docker, and Terraform skills, with a solid background in Agile/DevOps practices and security compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with related work experience.
  • 7+ years in related roles or combos per education section.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing SDLC tooling at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, configure, and test SDLC tooling at complex scale.
  • Design, code, and test complex changes to cloud infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support for onboarding and migration of software applications.
  • Analyze customer needs to propose enterprise solutions.
  • Adhere to DevOps methodologies and participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure compliance with SAFR, DLP, Privacy, and data governance requirements.
  • Lead complex assignments requiring coordination across developers.
  • Continuously explore innovative tools and techniques.

Job description

  • Works independently, under minimal guidance, to make sound decisions. No instructions are needed for routine work with only general instructions given for new activities or special assignments. May refer to established precedents and procedures but does not rely on them for decision making. Plans, schedules, and arranges own activities to accomplish objectives. Work is generally only reviewed for completeness.
  • Independently design, implement, configure, and test high-quality, performant, secure, SDLC tooling at a complex scale.
  • Independently design, code, and test complex changes to cloud infrastructure.
  • Facilitates ongoing technical support to internal customers, including support for onboarding and migration of software applications into various environments.
  • Analyze complex customer needs to recommend, design, and implement solutions and identify potential enterprise or cross-functional solutions.
  • Support and adhere to company and system DevOps methodologies and standards. Actively participate in the Agile process and ceremonies. Manage and keep assigned work items up to date.
  • Incorporate relevant company and system controls into solutions. Comply with SAFR, DLP, Privacy, audit, and data governance requirements.
  • Promotes innovation by recommending product enhancements, keeping abreast of industry trends, and actively exploring emerging tools and techniques.
  • Take a leading role on complex assignments requiring coordination across developers with a demonstrated ability to work through others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Experience
  • Associates degree and 7 years of related work experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related work experience OR
  • Master’s degree and 3 years of related work experience
Knowledge Areas
  • Linux operating system environments and commands
  • Experience with Git and GitLab
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • AWS cloud technologies and practices
  • Security scanning technologies including SAST, DAST, and IAST.
  • Containerization technologies including Docker, ECR, ECS, and Fargate
  • Terraform Infrastructure as code and Ansible Configuration as code technologies
  • Provisioning hardware, OS, and infrastructure components
  • System tools and administration methods, including access/password management, build frameworks and tools, containerization technology, artifacts management and tooling, configuration management tools, and automated deployment tools.
  • Secure programming techniques and basic understanding of cryptography and certificates
  • Python and/or Go development languages
  • Software library management tools
  • Agile and DevOps practices
