Job summary

Cognitiv in Bellevue, WA is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen AWS infrastructure and drive scalable, resilient cloud deployments in a hybrid environment.

You will collaborate with datacenter SREs, own cloud footprint, implement IaC, and improve deployments, monitoring, and disaster recovery while leveraging Datadog, Terraform, and Ansible. Candidates should bring 10+ years in operations or SRE, deep AWS expertise, and Python/Bash scripting; travel 1-2 times per quarter.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in operations, software engineering, or as an SRE.
• Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure, networking, and management practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency with Python and Bash.
• Hybrid cloud/on-prem familiarity; multi-DC deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure across AWS.
• Evaluate AWS architecture for long-term scalability and growth.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to scope projects to core requirements.
• Drive engineering-wide efforts to improve deployments, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
• Support and maintain co-located datacenter deployments.
