Job summary

Randa Apparel & Accessories is seeking a Senior Database Administrator in the Dallas area for a hybrid role (3 days in-office / 2 days remote). You will manage large-scale, data-driven systems, deploy AWS database services, monitor health, and ensure high availability and DR readiness across the enterprise.

The role requires 6–10 years in a commercial environment with SQL Server, AlwaysOn, and cloud experience.

Qualifications

6-10 years in commercial-grade applications environment focusing on SQL Server and AlwaysOn.
SAN tech understanding and 3rd party monitoring tools familiarity.
Cloud tech stack experience with AWS; Azure/Google Cloud acceptable.
Excellent communication, verbal and written; minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Deploy AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift) with optimal scale and cost.
Monitor health using AWS CloudWatch and Performance Insights.
Configure failover mechanisms to reroute traffic when needed.
Monitor replication lag and data consistency across nodes.
Manage cluster load balancing for read/write traffic.
Collaborate with data dev and software eng teams to improve DB operations.
Build highly available database clusters and reliable DR architecture.
Create dashboards and alerts for 24/7 operations; implement DR procedures.
Provide ongoing monitoring support with other DBAs.
