Job summary

Serigor Inc. seeks a Senior AWS Developer to join onsite in Raleigh, NC for a 12+ month engagement. The candidate will design, implement, and manage AWS-based data lake solutions, modernize legacy apps, and drive data ingestion, processing, and secure governance across enterprise-scale environments.

Required 10–15 years of software development with strong Python/Java skills, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum experience. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in AWS Data Lake formation and cloud design.
• Experience modernizing legacy apps and migrating to cloud environments.
• Proficient with AWS services to build enterprise data lakes.
• Experience in Data Ingestion & Storage, Data Processing & Transformation with AWS tools.
• ETL development using Python for AWS ETL jobs.
• Knowledge of security, data governance, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
• Hands-on in Python; Java experience is a plus.
• Experience with RDMS databases.
• DevOps, automation, CI/CD, monitoring, logging.
• Data analytics experience with Power BI or AWS QuickSight is a plus.
• Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose modernization strategies
• Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting throughout project delivery
• Acting as a trusted advisor to the technical team on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Develop, test, debug and deliver within timeline using best tools and best practices
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges
• Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
• Identifies architectural risks and plans to mitigate risks
• Ensures adherence to standards and best practices
• Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior client and business stakeholders
