Job summary

Apexon seeks an experienced AWS Cloud Operations & Platform Readiness Engineer to support the setup, monitoring, and management of AWS environments for pilot and production deployments. You will ensure highly available, secure, and scalable cloud platforms with emphasis on IAM, encryption, and DR practices.

Responsibilities include configuring and optimizing AWS environments across development to production, implementing cloud operational best practices, and coordinating with engineering teams

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Operations, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Support role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including monitoring, alerting, storage management, and database administration.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support AWS environments across development, testing, staging, and production.
• Ensure infrastructure is properly provisioned, validated, and optimized to meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to implement cloud operational best practices.
• Support environment readiness activities for pilot and production deployments.
• Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS services.
• Configure dashboards, health checks, metrics, and notifications for proactive issue detection.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and operational health.
• Provide troubleshooting and operational support for infrastructure and cloud platform issues.
• Configure and manage Amazon S3 storage, lifecycle policies, and data retention strategies.
• Set up, maintain, and optimize Amazon Aurora databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
