Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior AWS Cloud Native Developer to build a paved-road platform enabling AI-native engineering with agents as first-class developers. You will craft patterns, develop Python/FastAPI APIs, and implement cloud-native tooling on AWS, with Terraform-based infrastructure and automated governance.

You will drive delivery pipelines, security-by-default practices, and observability while collaborating across fast-moving teams from early stages.

Qualifications

5+ years of application development with the ability to define patterns for other engineers.
Proficiency in Python and FastAPI for building production APIs and services.
Strong AWS application development experience, ideally with developer tooling or cloud-native workflows.
Terraform for infrastructure-as-code usage.
Daily experience with AI coding harnesses/agents and spec-driven development.

Responsibilities

Define and encode application-development patterns and quick starts for other teams.
Build production APIs and services using Python and FastAPI.
Develop cloud-native applications on AWS including tooling and delivery platforms.
Design and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform.
Automate CI/CD, SDLC, and engineering controls using GitHub Actions and IaC.
Implement governance, compliance, and operational controls within pipelines.
