Job summary

BizTech Fusion LLC seeks a Senior AWS Cloud-Native Software Engineer – AI & DevOps for a hybrid Reston, VA / Washington, D.C. engagement. The role requires 9+ years of software development experience and hands-on AWS cloud-native development, CI/CD, automated testing, secure coding, and AI-assisted tooling.

You will mentor junior developers, influence architecture, and drive reliability and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on AWS cloud-native development experience.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• Experience developing automated unit and integration tests.
• Understanding of secure software development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex cloud-native features and services on AWS.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable software using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce software engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, monitor, and harden production applications and services.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Apply secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance.
• Contribute to technical architecture, design decisions, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with software architects, business analysts, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to refine and deliver user stories.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical discussions, and design sessions.
• Identify opportunities to improve development, deployment, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement of cloud-native and DevOps practices.
