Job summary

BizTech Fusion is hiring a Junior DevSecOps Engineer with hands-on AWS experience, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and security integration. The role emphasizes collaboration and independent task handling within a hybrid Reston, VA/Washington, D.C. environment.

The candidate should have ~3+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps experience, focus on security integration in pipelines, and be eligible for a U.S. background check per client requirements. This is a junior-level contract position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional DevOps/DevSecOps engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeBuild.
• Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience using AWS CDK and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and/or policy-as-code.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and deployment processes.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to satisfy required background investigation and clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeBuild.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK and/or CloudFormation.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, SCA, and policy-as-code capabilities into CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate compliance evidence and processes supporting FedRAMP and NIST controls.
• Support environment provisioning and deployment automation.
• Implement and support deployment strategies including blue/green and canary deployments.
• Incorporate AI‑assisted tooling for security scanning, testing, and pipeline development.
• Monitor CI/CD pipeline health and help improve software delivery and operational metrics.
• Develop automation using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Collaborate with developers, security teams, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot pipeline, deployment, infrastructure, and security‑related issues.
• Document technical processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and contribute to continuous improvement.
