Job summary

Nightwing is expanding our System Administration team in Warrenton, VA, seeking a seasoned System Administrator/Cloud Engineer to advance our digitization infrastructure. You will join a skilled team supporting cloud operations in an enterprise setting, driving automation, security, and efficient system management.

You will apply hands-on AWS and Linux expertise, manage databases (RDS/MySQL/Oracle), and implement secure, federated identity and RBAC controls.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in production.
Experience patching and maintaining databases including RDS, MySQL, Oracle.
Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization.
Understanding of secure-cloud configuration and cloud security technologies (VPC, Security Groups, CloudTrail, AWS Config).
Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Experience with security such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security.
Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience scripting.
Ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise workflow applications and patching tasks.
Experience creating and managing virtual infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Hyper‑V, VMware).
