Job summary

Capgemini in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer focusing on AWS to design, build, and secure scalable cloud environments.

You will automate infrastructure with Terraform and CloudFormation, enforce IAM least-privilege controls, and collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Applications teams to meet governance and compliance standards.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, monitoring with CloudWatch, and driving security posture improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud engineering experience with 4+ years focused on AWS.
• Strong understanding of AWS IAM concepts, SSO/Federation, RBAC, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes/EKS, and CI/CD platforms.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Security Specialty or related) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support scalable, secure AWS environments.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and security controls using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Application teams to enforce cloud security governance and compliance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS environments using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, and related tools.

Job description

The job is located at Atlanta, GA. This job requires onsite participation.

About the role you are considering:

• Design, build, and support scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud environments using services such as EC2, VPC, EKS, Lambda, RDS, and S3.
• Implement and maintain AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, including roles, policies, federated access, permission boundaries, and least-privilege access models.
• Partner with Security, DevOps, and Application teams to enforce cloud security best practices, governance standards, and compliance requirements across AWS workloads.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and security controls using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments using AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Config, and other observability and security tooling.
• Drive continuous improvements in cloud security posture, access management, and operational excellence through proactive assessments, remediation, and automation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud engineering experience with 4+ years focused on AWS.
• Strong understanding of AWS IAM concepts, SSO/Federation, RBAC, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes/EKS, and CI/CD platforms.
• AWS Solutions Architect, Security Specialty, or related AWS certifications preferred
