Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer to lead AWS-based CI/CD, security, and automation in mission-critical environments. The role requires senior-level expertise and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

You will work within an Agile team to automate deployments, secure cloud resources, and monitor cloud services, with no travel required and after-hours pager rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; 10 years with MS/MA; 7 years with PhD.
• U.S. citizen required.
• Active Public Trust clearance required.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of AWS services EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, EKS/ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch.
• Jenkins CI/CD experience; IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Ansible for configuration and automation.
• Designing secure cloud networks: VPC, Transit, Direct Connect, VPN.
• Experience with CloudWatch monitoring and log analysis.
• Linux Bash scripting experience.

Responsibilities

• Automate, provision, and monitor CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools.
• Provide hands-on support for mission-critical deployments.
• Implement cloud security, authentication, auditing, and monitoring.
• Ensure data security across client infrastructure.
• On-call rotation via PagerDuty; no travel required.
