Job summary

Elios is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on AWS cloud application development for a major federal healthcare modernization program. This remote role focuses on building cloud-native services, APIs, and data workflows that handle healthcare transactions.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of backend software development experience with AWS tools, mentoring abilities, and knowledge of healthcare data processing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, mostly backend, with cloud-native AWS work in production.
• Experience designing cloud-native APIs and distributed integrations.
• Sound judgment for when AI-assisted code generation fits.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop integrations across AWS services to deliver transaction data.
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code.

Skills

Backend fluency in .NET/C#, Go, Python, Java, or Node.js

Strong understanding of AWS application integration patterns

Experience with SQS, SNS, Lambda, S3

Unit and integration testing experience

Education

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Engineering
