Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Senior AWS Application Architect to design scalable cloud-native enterprise apps on AWS and drive AI-enabled agentic solutions. The role emphasizes translating architectural designs into production-ready systems and leading cross-functional teams.

The candidate will work primarily remotely with monthly onsite collaboration in the Baltimore area, engaging with software, cloud, and AI teams to shape architectural strategy and best practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and architecting enterprise-scale applications on AWS.
• Strong background in cloud-native application architecture, including microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on architectural experience with Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
• Practical experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, including design or implementation of agentic AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture, security, scalability, and reliability best practices.
• Experience collaborating with software development teams and providing technical architectural guidance.
• Ability to work independently, make architectural decisions, and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications on AWS.
• Develop application architecture strategies leveraging microservices, APIs, containerization, and distributed systems.
• Provide architectural direction for applications deployed using Amazon EKS/Kubernetes.
• Establish design patterns, standards, and cloud best practices across projects.
• Evaluate architectural trade-offs involving performance, security, and reliability.
• Design and integrate agentic AI solutions using Bedrock AgentCore and related AWS tech.
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud infra, and AI teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across development initiatives.
• Support AI capability integration into existing and new enterprise apps.
• Partner with senior tech leadership on architecture decisions.
