Job summary

University of Washington seeks an Associate Vice President for Minority Affairs & Diversity (OMA&D) to provide strategic leadership for College Access programs and partnerships. The role will supervise senior staff, manage budgets and grants, and coordinate initiatives advancing access to higher education for underrepresented students.

  • Master’s degree in education, counseling, public policy, or related field and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years managing complex budgets and accountability systems.
  • Experience supervising and developing professional staff across diverse teams.
  • Experience partnering with diverse communities, including underrepresented populations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for OMA&D College Access programs and community/partner engagement.
  • Supervise staff in multiple units and manage budgets and grant submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with grant reporting and performance objectives; oversee site visits and program evaluations.
  • Build partnerships and fundraising opportunities to support College Access initiatives.
