Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to support troubleshooting, installation, modification, and repair of avionics systems on corporate and general aviation aircraft. This contract-to-hire role is based in a hangar at Washington County Airport, WA, and offers overtime for busy periods.

You will work with a team of maintenance and avionics professionals, reading schematics, fabricating wiring harnesses, and performing functional tests to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years avionics experience on corporate, business, general aviation or military aircraft.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with avionics installations, repairs, wiring, and harness fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with FAA repair station procedures and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
• Install, modify, and upgrade avionics equipment, including navigation and communication systems.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Fabricate, route, and terminate aircraft wiring and harnesses.
• Perform functional testing and system checks following installations and repairs.
• Support avionics upgrade projects and aircraft modifications.
• Document maintenance activities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and avionics team members to complete projects on schedule.
