Job summary

AT&T is seeking an experienced Avionics Specialist to support the performance, maintenance, compliance, and continuous improvement of advanced avionics for our corporate fleet in Dallas, TX. This role focuses on reliability, safety, and operational readiness, collaborating with aviation professionals to deliver a world-class travel experience for executives.

You will train crew on in-flight systems, stay updated on regulatory changes, manage avionics work orders, and ensure timely documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business aviation activities with hands-on expertise in avionics systems - Gulfstream 500/600 platform preferred.
• FAA certifications such as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License are required, along with relevant aviation training.
• Strong familiarity with avionics systems (flight controls, navigation, connectivity, cabin entertainment, communication, radar) and system troubleshooting.
• Proficient in project management, with a strong focus on time management, scheduling, and multi-tasking.
• Extensive experience in customer service, with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and compliance, as well as work order processing and maintenance tracking systems such as CAMP.

Responsibilities

• Provides training to crew members so they can operate systems in flight, including airborne telecommunication systems, cabin management systems, and in-flight entertainment /data networks used by executive passengers.
• Must keep abreast of emerging technical developments, regulatory requirements and initiatives in the field in order to keep the department aircraft compliant for global travel and will attend recurrent training to maintain proficiency.
• Provide technical expertise in company aircraft, focusing on avionics systems, troubleshooting, and modifications.
• Coordinate avionics work orders, including scheduling, and quality control.
• Work closely with the DOM, Maintenance team and other department managers to ensure on-time project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Perform FAA paperwork, including work orders, and compliance documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, staying organized, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of work quality.
• Collaborate with the flight department teams to support projects and customer requests.
• Actively participate in avionics/connectivity industry committee meetings.
• Occasionally travel as required to support company aircraft and events.
