Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems and Flight Test Engineer to design, develop, implement and analyze complete air vehicle avionics systems. This role requires onsite work in Mineral Wells, TX, with reporting to the Manager, Engineering.

You will lead system and software integration, support flight testing, and guide junior engineers while collaborating with customers across multiple projects and FAA-related certification practices.

Qualifications

• Five years of avionics-related experience and professional experience.
• Knowledge of FAA avionics certification processes and system safety analysis.
• Experience with requirements management tools.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%+).
• Ability to perform engineering work in flight test on aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Review and translate customer requirements into conceptual design and architecture to meet needs.
• Analyze proposals for feasibility, manufacturability, cost and production time.
• Support customer development and design.
• Perform system/software integration to verify avionics functionality.
• Lead OASIS and EICAS configurations per requirements and certifications.
• Support avionics flight testing and system performance analysis.
• Provide guidance and training to engineers and lead project teams.
