Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a Systems Engineer in Cedar Rapids, IA to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver avionics system solutions.

The role supports requirements development, system integration, and testing activities in a lab environment with on-site testing during formal phases. US person required and 12-month contract. Competitive hourly pay ranges apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python, MATLAB/Simulink, Cameo or similar engineering tools.
• Exposure to requirements development, verification, testing, or model-based engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) at the system level.
• Strong understanding of Avionics, aircraft systems, and subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of systems, software, integration, and test engineers to develop and deliver avionics system solutions.
• Support development, analysis, and refinement of system requirements and interfaces.
• Complete assignments involving Design and Requirement Developments activities.
• On-site requirements-based testing, robustness, and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment.
