Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer for the Avionics Software Tools Team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will join a team delivering software tools for avionics development, testing and configuration file production across multiple aircraft programs.

The role focuses on coding, testing and supporting simulation software, implementing DevOps processes, and building automated build/integration pipelines using C/C++, Python, Java and related tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of experience or Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience leading small technical projects or processes.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C/C++/C#, Python or Java.
• Linux and Windows 11 familiarity and ability to operate software on Windows PCs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, code, test and support software tools for Avionics configurations.
• Implement DevOps tools to automate avionics software production and testing.
• Collaborate using Git, GitMR, Artifactory, Jama, Grafana and Docker in Linux and Windows environments.
