REGENT is redefining coastal transport with the Seaglider program. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will set software direction across vehicle programs, owning avionics architecture, partitioning, redundancy, and certification strategy.

You’ll work hands-on to design and prove flight-critical software while guiding cross-program teams. You will lead architecture reviews with chief engineers, drive certification activity with authorities, and mentor engineers to raise the bar on safety,

Qualifications

• Industry expert in safety-critical avionics: DO-178C lifecycle and certification liaison.
• Vehicle-level architecture ownership on at least one aircraft/UAS program.
• Certification track record with core plans and staged authority reviews.
• Partitioned, redundancy-managed systems, WCET and inter-processor comms.
• Strong embedded C/C++ on RTOS or bare metal.
• Deterministic avionics networking (ARINC 664/AFDX, CAN, DDS).
• Systems engineering fluency: requirements, interfaces, hazard flowdown.

Responsabilités

• Set software architecture direction across REGENT’s vehicle programs.
• Own avionics software architecture, partitioning, redundancy, timing budgets.
• Lead architecture reviews with program chief engineers.
• Drive software certification strategy and lead reviews with authorities.
• Lead software system integration and SIL/HIL campaigns.
• Stay hands-on: design, implement, verify flight-critical modules.
• Mentor engineers and establish coding and design standards.
• Qualify tools and supplier software; govern SOUP/COTS evidence.
• Advise engineering leadership on architecture, risk, and build-vs-buy.
