Job summary

REGENT seeks a Manager of Flight Controls & GNC to lead the team responsible for how a Seaglider is controlled from dock to dock. You will oversee guidance, control laws, and sensor input across multiple programs, from prototype to production with the highest design assurance level.

You’ll build the team, stay hands-on where needed, drive the release into flight test, and partner with certification to ensure a production-ready control system with shared tooling foundations across vehicles.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in flight controls or adjacent vehicle-controls discipline.
• Track record of taking control laws from development through flight.
• Ownership of technical delivery with clear test milestones and tradeoffs.
• Deep systems fluency across core controls areas and related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop the team, defining structure and hiring needs.
• Stay hands-on with control models, analyses, and generated code.
• Own the controls release train into flight test and certify production readiness.
• Coordinate with certification to define design basis and evidence plan.
• Establish common controls tooling across vehicles to start from a shared foundation.
• Match rigor to criticality with flight-test-informed decisions.
• Integrate across the vehicle with simulation, autonomy, embedded, aero, and test teams.
