Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to support an AWACS Radio System Upgrade (RSU) program. The role covers design, integration, testing, certification, and fielding of advanced airborne communications and avionics systems.

The selected candidate will perform reliability analyses, FMECA, root cause investigations, and reliability growth throughout the system lifecycle, including aircraft installation and flight test.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of reliability engineering experience.
• 5+ years supporting avionics, aerospace, military aircraft, or defense systems programs.
• Experience with reliability predictions, FMEA/FMECA, root cause failure analysis, reliability growth, and maintainability assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the RM&T program.
• Establish reliability allocations, predictions, and performance metrics.
• Conduct MIL-HDBK and DoD standard analyses and MTBF calculations.
• Lead FMECA and reliability growth activities across development and flight testing.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Logistics, Safety, Software, Test, and CM teams.
