A leading aerospace manufacturer in Redmond, WA, is seeking a Sr. Radiation Effects Engineer responsible for ensuring avionics hardware performance. The ideal candidate will support cross-discipline teams, develop component databases, and ensure compliance with radiation safety. A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 5+ years of experience in radiation effects are required. Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in the radiation effects field.
Experience with single event effects risk calculations.
Previous work experience in radiation effects including modeling, testing, and/or analysis.
Responsibilities
Support a cross-discipline team of design and system engineers.
Develop component databases and applications for interfacing with radiation test data.
Review PCN changes to ensure maintenance of radiation qualification status.
Skills
Full stack web development including python
Strong mathematics and statistics knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
