Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Avionics Operations Lead to guide the integration, testing, and operation of launch vehicle avionics systems. You will lead a team of avionics engineers and technicians, ensuring readiness across vehicle processing and test campaigns, while driving improvements in reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7+ years of experience in aerospace systems integration, testing, or operations.
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience with avionics systems including electrical power, command and data handling, navigation, guidance, or flight control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in an operational environment.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems and driving issues to resolution.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Avionics Operations team responsible for integration, testing, troubleshooting, and operation of launch vehicle avionics systems.
• Oversee avionics operational readiness during vehicle processing, testing, and launch campaigns.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Vehicle Operations, and other teams to resolve issues and improve operability.
• Develop, review, and execute avionics operational procedures and test documentation.
• Lead troubleshooting and drive resolution of avionics anomalies and constraints impacting readiness.
• Support system safety reviews and risk mitigation activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability across operations.
