Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Avionics Lead to guide an electrical design and integration team within the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems department.

You will oversee design, procurement, test, and integration of circuit cards, balancing cost, schedule, and technical risk to meet requirements for missile-related electronics. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in analog, digital, and power electronics,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) required.
• Ten years of experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design and integration.
• Experience in requirement development and validation, CCA design, test integration, or supplier management.
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills; ability to mentor and guide teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and integration for multiple circuit cards (analog, digital, power).
• Ensure technical integrity of electronics and manage cost and schedule for design, verification, and hardware procurement.
• Provide technical oversight for failure investigations and risk management.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and program teams; guide design reviews.
• Coordinate transition to production and early production units.
• Travel as required.
