Job summary

Castelion seeks a Senior Avionics Systems Integration Engineer to drive the integration of avionics across design, development, testing, and operations. You will influence mission-critical systems that enable deterrence and safety through advanced hypersonic weapons programs.

Extensive hands-on work with hardware-in-the-loop, sensors, and vehicle networks is required, along with travel to remote testing facilities. Join a high-impact team in a fast-paced, regulated defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical component design, system integration, or electronic testing.
• 1+ years of experience with MATLAB, Python, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and readiness of avionics systems from design through testing and field ops.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical hardware issues under tight timelines.
• Support Hardware-in-the-Loop testing, flight ops, and post-flight assessments.
• Collaborate to optimize avionics architectures reducing mass, cost and complexity.
• Contribute to validation of power systems, sensors, vehicle networks, RF, and control systems.
