Job summary

Amazon in Seattle, WA seeks a Sr. Electrical Engineer, Avionics Hardware for Prime Air to own hardware development lifecycle for flight-critical avionics systems and lead cross-functional collaboration across propulsion, structures, firmware, software, safety, and certification teams.

You will develop and execute verification and validation plans per aerospace standards (DO-160, DO-254), bring up EE hardware, lead root cause analysis, and drive manufacturability and reliability improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • 5+ years hardware engineering experience.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Mentor or tech lead experience.
  • PCB design with schematic capture and layout.

Responsibilities

  • Own hardware development lifecycle for avionics systems.
  • Develop and execute verification and validation plans per DO-160/DO-254.
  • Lead hardware bring-up and system integration tests.
  • Drive DFM/DFR with vendors and manufacturing teams.
  • Lead reliability and failure investigations.
