Job summary

Maania Digital in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Senior Avionics Hardware Design Engineer to lead PCB design for spaceflight avionics. You will own schematic capture, layout, and end-to-end design from requirements to flight qualification, working with test teams and vendors to ensure robust assemblies.

The role emphasizes integration, rapid prototyping, and delivering high-reliability hardware for launch vehicles and spacecraft applications onsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PCB design, hardware systems design, or integration experience.
• Schematic capture proficiency and PCB layout for digital, analog and power circuits.
• End-to-end design including requirements, block diagrams, selection and simulations.
• Strong troubleshooting to root cause and close issues.
• Experience using test equipment to verify circuit function.
• Excellent organizational skills and vendor interaction experience.
• Proactive, collaborative, able to work with minimal guidance.
• Develop avionics features for a common platform used in launch vehicles and spacecraft.
• Own schematic capture, PCB layout, rapid prototyping, EEE component selection and flight/test support.

Job Role: Senior Avionics Hardware Design Engineer

Location: Cedar Park, TX

Duration: Full time, Onsite

Required Qualifications

• 5 or more years of PCB design, hardware systems design, and/or integration experience.
• Skilled in schematic capture and digital, analog, and power circuit PCB layout.
• Competent at end-to-end definition, requirement generation, block-diagram design, component selection and circuit simulations.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting experience with the ability to drive problems to root-cause and closure.
• Experience with the usage of test equipment to verify component and circuit function.
• Excellent organizational skills, and experience working with vendors.
• Ability to work well with others, be proactive, and execute with minimal guidance.
• Develop new features and functionality as part of the design team for our common avionics platform used across launch vehicles and spacecraft applications.
• Create and own schematic capture and PCB layout activities, rapid prototyping, EEE component selection, and execute electrical simulations and analyses to support flight, qualification, and test lab PCB assemblies.
