Job summary

Moog is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems and Flight Test Engineer for the Mineral Wells, TX site. The role focuses on design, development, and analysis of air vehicle avionics, with responsibility for customer interfaces across multiple projects and an onsite schedule in Mineral Wells, TX.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 5+ years avionics experience, plus FAA certification knowledge and strong requirements management skills. Travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field (Master's ideal).
• Minimum five years related avionics experience and related professional experience.
• Knowledge of design/development processes, software and office tools.
• Knowledge of FAA and other certification processes, including system safety analysis.
• Understanding of avionics systems engineering discipline and related industry practices.
• Expert in product requirements and requirements management tools.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%+).
• Ability to perform engineering work in flight test on aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Review and translate customer requirements into conceptual design and architecture.
• Analyze proposals for feasibility, manufacturability, cost and production time.
• Support customer development and design.
• Perform system/software integration to verify avionics functionality.
• Develop/testing applications or modify tools for integration and tests.
• Support software/system development for new and legacy product lines.
• Lead OASIS and EICAS configurations per requirements and standards.
• Support avionics flight testing and system/subsystem analysis.
