Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a Senior Avionics Engineer to design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for data center satellites. You will work with software, mechanical, solar, and propulsion teams to meet strict space-grade performance standards.

The role emphasizes hardware design, schematics, PCB work, and robust testing across environmental conditions. ITAR and aerospace experience preferred, with opportunities for impact in a growing space infrastructure company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in aerospace or computing systems.
• Experience with circuit simulation using LTspice.
• Hands-on with lab equipment and debugging electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and test electrical hardware for satellite subsystems, focusing on power management, control systems, and signal processing.
• Develop and maintain schematics, PCB designs, and harness diagrams for laser systems and satellites.
• Perform testing and debugging of electrical hardware under various environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and thermal engineers for system integration.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation including requirements, specs, and test plans.
• Support environmental testing such as thermal-vacuum, vibration, and EMI for space qualification.
• Participate in design reviews, offering technical insights and recommendations.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and improve lab processes.
