Job summary

DZYNE Technologies in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer for the full lifecycle of aircraft and launcher electrical systems. The role combines hands-on circuit design, integration, troubleshooting, harness design, and testing under ITAR considerations.

You will collaborate with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers, lead PCB development, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in complex circuit board design, bring-up, SI/PI analysis, and validation.
• Proven experience designing electronics from concept to functional prototype with hardware selection, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• In-depth understanding of Analog/Mixed-signal, Digital, or RF circuit components.
• Familiarity with test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium.
• Excellent problem solving and planning skills.
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full PCB design cycle including requirements, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision, bring-up, verification, and testing.
• Design, develop, integrate, and debug avionics systems/subsystems.
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle.
• Support design updates due to product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams for new product development and deployments.
• Mentor other engineers and promote sound engineering practices.
• Work on Grasshopper Aerial Resupply Vehicle and Blitz platforms.
