Job summary

Inversion in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Staff Avionics Engineer to own the compute architecture and implementation for next‑gen spacecraft. You will drive system design, interfaces, component selection, reliability strategies, circuit implementation, and verification of flight computers and compute platforms.

You will be a key member of the Avionics team reporting to the Director of Engineering, Avionics, with responsibilities spanning testing, design analyses, high‑speed and mixed‑signal PCB

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in design, build, test cycle for satellite/spacecraft compute electronics.
• Experience with mixed-signal and digital circuit simulations.

Responsibilities

• Testing, qualification, and integration of spacecraft hardware for Arc.
• Lead clean sheet design and analyses of flight hardware from design through testing.
• Develop, lead, and own digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit designs.
• Qualify designs via environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, thermal vacuum).
• Lead trade studies shaping architecture and design.
• Assist in architecting flight software.
