Job summary

Inversion, headquartered in Playa Vista, CA, is seeking a Staff Avionics Engineer to architect and implement core compute systems for next‑generation vehicles. You will own digital, analog, and mixed‑signal designs from concept through testing for Arc and future spacecraft.

Join a high‑reliability team reporting to the Director of Engineering, Avionics, and lead environmental testing, trade studies, and interface with flight software. U.S. citizenship/clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years in design, build, and test cycle for satellite, spacecraft, or launch vehicle compute electronics.
• Experience with mixed-signal and digital circuit simulations.
• Experience with PCBAs using Altium Designer.
• Experience with high-speed signal routing and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Testing, qualification, and integration of spacecraft hardware for Arc.
• Lead clean-sheet design and analyses of flight hardware from component design through testing.
• Develop, lead, and own digital, analog, and mixed-signal avionic designs, and rugged electronic hardware assemblies throughout the product life cycle.
• Qualify designs through environmental testing including vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal vacuum testing.
• Lead trade studies to shape the architecture and design.
• Assist in architecting flight software.
