Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Avionics Software Engineer with 5+ years' experience to design, develop, and test safety-critical embedded software for TCAS and other CNS applications. The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, DO-178C knowledge, and U.S. Citizenship.

Hybrid on-site schedule (2–3 days/week) with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are offered. You will decompose requirements in DOORS, code in C/C++, perform reviews, and support integration

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Software, Electrical, Aerospace or Computer Science.
5+ years of software engineering experience on avionics for aircraft or spacecraft systems.
Full life cycle experience on avionics embedded software or equivalent airborne systems.
Experience decomposing requirements in DOORS or equivalent requirements management tools.
Experience with TCAS, transponders, ACAS, ADS-B or other CNS applications.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Decompose and trace system requirements to software requirements within DO-178C.
Design, code, and implement embedded software using C/C++ for TCAS and CNS apps.
Perform code reviews to identify defects and ensure coding standards.
Support software integration tests and achieve high test-coverage metrics.
