Mercury Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a matrixed electrical design team across multiple avionics programs. You will oversee architecture development, ensure EMCE/Safety compliance, and work with program management to align schedules and resources.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive cross-functional collaboration, and influence design practices while delivering on time and within scope. This role may involve hybrid work in CA and related locations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams in a matrix-managed environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and systems engineering.
• Proficiency with DOORS, Jama, MS Project, PLM systems (Teamcenter/Windchill).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance (DoD).
• Certifications such as PMP/CAPM or Six Sigma are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and influence a matrix-managed electrical design team across avionics programs.
• Coordinate electrical design activities with cross-functional teams per schedules and resources.
• Provide technical oversight of architecture, requirements, risk, and design reviews.
• Support program managers with schedules, risk management, and trade studies.
• Forecast workload, align skills, and allocate resources across projects.
• Mentor engineers and promote consistent design practices and documentation.
• Communicate complex technical info to non-electrical stakeholders and leadership.
• Support manufacturability, reliability, compliance, and process improvements.
