Relativity Space is seeking a Principal Digital Hardware Engineer for the Avionics team to design, test, and analyze high-speed electronics for the Terran R launch vehicle. You will oversee the hardware lifecycle from concept to flight maturity and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, on-schedule hardware.

You will bring deep experience in electronics design, signal integrity, and power integrity, with a strong ability to mentor engineers and communicate complex topics

Competenze

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of electronics experience for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
• Technical expertise in high-speed digital design including high-speed serial interfaces (SERDES, PCIe, Ethernet); memory interfaces; design for SoCs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, and FPGAs.
• Expertise in signal integrity for high-speed digital links including impedance stackup, transmission lines, crosstalk, and channel analysis.
• Expertise in power integrity and PDN design for high-current, low-voltage systems.
• Experience with eCAD software such as Altium.
• Experience with cross-functional teams (mechanical, thermal, electrical, software) for integrated electronics solutions.
• Experience mentoring engineers and communicating complex topics.

Mansioni

• Design, test, and analyze custom high-speed electronics for the Terran R launch vehicle.
• Oversee hardware development from concept to flight maturity including design, bring-up, verification, qualification, and integration.
• Collaborate with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Ensure hardware projects are reliable and on schedule to support Terran R’s launch.
• Communicate deeply technical topics to a wide range of audiences.
