Castelion Corporation in Torrance, California, seeks a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to define and deliver the avionics architecture for long-range hypersonic strike vehicles. You will lead integration of flight electronics, from concept through flight test, in a fast-paced hardware-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and integrating avionics or high-reliability embedded systems in aerospace/defense.
• Strong avionics architecture, power distribution, and embedded hardware integration expertise.
• Experience leading complex avionics development from concept to flight testing.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain avionics system architecture for flight vehicles and subsystems.
• Lead integration of flight computers, sensors, power electronics, and RF systems.
• Develop system-level requirements, wiring architectures, and integration docs.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive flight electronics.
• Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting during development and flight tests.
• Develop design standards, component selection guidelines, and best practices for high reliability.
• Support design reviews and perform system-level trades to optimize performance and testability.
• Develop and execute integration, qualification, and flight test plans.
