Job summary

Lightspeed Aviation in Lake Oswego, Oregon, seeks a Senior Systems & Acoustics Engineer to be the senior technical authority for product architecture, acoustic performance, and system integration of premium headset products.

You will define architectures, develop technologies, and ensure hardware, software, mechanical, and UX work cohesively while translating customer needs into differentiated, high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Physics, Computer or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant product development experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing and analyzing complete audio systems.
• Experience defining product architectures from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain system architectures, requirements, and performance budgets.
• Lead design, analysis, optimization, and validation of acoustic systems and transducers.
• Conduct system-level studies to evaluate technologies and trade-offs.
• Research and mature new technologies for future products and IP.
• Provide technical leadership across internal and external teams.
• Characterize product performance via modeling, testing, and field evaluation.
