Job summary

HDR is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead airport-related initiatives in North Texas. You will drive pursuits and project delivery, coordinating with regional aviation leaders to secure medium to large airport programs.

Responsibilities include staffing, budget adherence, client relations, and QA/QC; you will mentor staff and contribute to HDR’s employee-owned culture while advancing the transportation agenda.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 10 years related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience.
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE).
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus).
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Will act as a doer/seller for current and future airport projects in North Texas.
  • Will work with HDR’s North Texas Area leadership and aviation leads on pursuits and delivery of projects; focus on medium to large airports.
  • Manage staffing and workload to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate multiple projects; establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Conduct design development and contract document sessions at project sites with project managers and others.
  • Collaborate with business/accounting managers and project controllers for reviews.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures and lead training for personnel.
  • Supervise project staff and mentor less experienced staff.

  • Will act as a doer/seller for current and future airport related projects in the North Texas market
  • Will work with HDR’s North Texas Area leadership, the Texas Aviation Lead, and the North Texas Region Aviation Lead on pursuits and delivery of projects in North Texas Airports and the State of Texas. Primary focus will be on medium to large Commercial Airports
  • Will be responsible for managing staffing and workload through project development completing project on time and within budget
  • Will be involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently and will establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Will conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
  • Will also work with Business/Accounting Managers, Project Controllers, and the Area Manager or Office Principals for project reviews
  • Will also be responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures, and for the execution of training for personnel
  • Will typically supervise project staff and act as a mentor for less experienced staff members
  • Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
