Job summary

DHD Consulting is seeking a Sr. MEP Estimator for on-site work at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) under the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey program. The role focuses on detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and cost model development for airtrain, terminal, and related airport infrastructure;

5+ years aviation estimating with a bachelor's degree is preferred; if no degree, 15 years of experience may be considered. On-site presence five days a week is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field; 5+ years aviation experience preferred.
• Without a degree, required fifteen years of experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel, on-screen takeoff, and SharePoint for cost estimating and document control.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes blueprints and documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Performs quantity takeoffs of design documents.
• Leads development of conceptual/feasibility cost models using historic data and industry experience.
• Obtains pricing from databases, contractors, and suppliers for estimates.
• Reviews estimate takeoff data in CATO for accuracy and applicability to project type.
• Finalizes unit cost pricing reflecting market conditions and project logistics.
• Interacts with PA engineers and A/E firms to define scope and reconcile estimates.
