Job summary

ATAC has a Senior Aviation Analyst opening to support the FAA in the Seattle, WA area. The candidate should be within commuting distance, with a strong background in air traffic control/management and robust data analysis skills.

The role focuses on quantitative and qualitative analysis of air traffic data, visualization, simulation-based assessments, and developing aviation performance reports, with onsite FAA support and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Operations Research, engineering, math, statistics or related field and/or 20+ years in FAA Air Traffic Control.
• Ability to conduct engineering and planning analysis.
• Excellent PC applications skills with office tools including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills and interpersonal relations skills.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Quantitative and qualitative analysis of air traffic data.
• Application of visualization software to understand air traffic operations.
• Use of simulation software to assist clients with analysis of airport/airspace operations.
• Development and deployment of aviation performance report.
• Aviation data verification and validation.
• Processing of airspace and/or procedure documentation as directed by customer.
• Calibration and troubleshooting of data processing algorithms.
• Presentation and briefing development.
• Onsite support of FAA users/customers.
• Identification of potential business opportunities.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
