Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Advanced Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Technician to perform complex diagnostics, calibrations, and system integrations on autonomous fleets. You will diagnose CAN/LIN networks, service HV components, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and field safety teams to resolve escalated issues.

Qualifications

• Requires 3–5+ years as automotive/EV/AV technician with hands-on diagnostics.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering docs.
• Experience with LiDAR, radar, cameras, CAN/LIN networks, and high‑voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on AV powertrains, braking, suspension, and HV systems.
• Calibrate LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, IMUs, and perception systems for alignment and accuracy.
• Install, configure, and replace AV components; support software deployments and data extraction.
• Conduct on-road and closed-course testing with field safety teams; troubleshoot field issues.
• Document repairs and calibrations in fleet systems; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
