Job summary

FORTÉ seeks a senior Audiovisual Support Engineer to own design, implementation, and support of complex AV systems for a major enterprise client. You will drive installation, troubleshooting, and optimization across large projects, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with IT and vendors.

You will lead cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration, maintain documentation, and stay ahead of industry trends in AV over IP, DSP, and control systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing large‑scale AV systems.
• Ability to lead complex AV projects from planning to deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting across AV hardware, software, and networks.
• Mentor junior technicians and escalate technical issues when needed.
• Familiarity with control systems and AV over IP protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and configure AV systems for boardrooms, auditoriums, and conferencing suites.
• Lead installations and configurations of video walls, sound systems, and control interfaces.
• Oversee AV projects: timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder comms.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure AV integrates with network infrastructure and security.
• Provide technical guidance and training to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
• Evaluate vendors and manage procurement and maintenance contracts.
• Establish preventative maintenance and monitoring for AV systems.
• Create documentation and reports on performance and upgrades.
• Stay updated on AV trends such as AV over IP and cloud solutions.
