Job summary

Immersive Concepts, LLC is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Support Technician for the Washington DC Metro Area, with potential CONUS/OCONUS travel. The role requires setting up and operating audiovisual equipment for meetings at customer sites and coordinating with presenters.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting AV setups, cabling, room lighting, and supporting Webcast and Web conferencing. A minimum Associate degree or 2 years of relevant experience is required, with AMX and Creston

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 2 years relevant experience.
• Versed in use of AMX and Creston equipment, Network and Audio, VTC training or similar.
• Audio Visual Technician (AVT) certified.

Responsibilities

• Set-up of teleconferences and audiovisual equipment for meetings at customer sites or off-site conference facilities.
• Operation of equipment during meetings and disassembly after completion.
• Operation of conference, meeting and training room AV/IT, sound systems and telephone technology.
• Preparation and support for Webcast, Web meeting, Webinar, and video teleconferences.
• Proficiency in the use and maintenance of room scheduling system.
• Technical troubleshooting of AV setup
• Periodic re-imaging of training computers
• Invoking warranties of computer equipment for repair or replacement
• Arranging for installation of new telephone and data ports
• Activation of new and existing telephone and data ports
• Assist meeting presenters with access to local and network accounts
• Setting appropriate room lighting and climate control
• Arranging for transcription services
• Lead a team in running cables for building or racking of equipment or other cabling services
• Able to create cable run lists and cable schematics to connect services
• Install cabling from transport/wiring closets to customer access outlet
• Install cabling under floor and above ceiling in trays/baskets
• Assist in design of cable transmission media and data rooms
• Field terminate cabling with varied connectors
• Install backbone/vertical, underground, and outdoor cabling
• Field test cabling for performance
• Provide cable labeling and configuration documentation
• Room setup and furniture configuration
• Minimum Experience: Associates degree or 2 years relevant experience; AMX and Creston equipment, Network and Audio, VTC training; AVT certification.
